A species called Campbell is raised only for eggs. It lays 280 to 300 eggs in a year. There is also another Indian runner, but it is not able to lay eggs like Campbell. There is a white pecan for meat, which is called broiler and it grows to two and a half kilos in 10 to 12 weeks.

It does not require much space to keep a duck. 25 to 30 ducks can be kept in a small house. Ducks have the highest immunity. Therefore, they are less prone to disease.

Dr. Gautam told that there are different breeds of ducks according to the environment of each state. You can choose the breed of duck according to your region and climate. With this, farmers can avoid losses.

  • - Take special care of cleanliness

  • If there is a sick duck, it should be removed from the group.
  • Do not keep the chick on the floor. Put a mat or some other thing on the bottom
  • Two weeks after hatching from the egg, give it a grain to hatch
  • Give a fine grain of broken rice to chew or keep it soaked in water
  • - Save the chick from the animals. Also protect against pet animals including snakes, dogs, cats.
  • After four weeks, let the chick go to the pond
  • These chicks come in their true form within 4 months

Can do This Work with Agriculture

Male and female are identified at the age of 4 months. If attention is paid to the diet, then ducks start laying eggs after 5 months. At this time, include essential nutrients in the diet of the duck. In this way good profits can be earned by rearing ducks.
