Viticulture On The Roots of Acacia
Through a new farming technique, you can now cultivate plants filled with sweet fruit juices even in sandy areas. You will not even need much water for this. Rather it will be possible only in less water. With the help of this technique, good quality grapes are being cultivated in an area like Abroad, which has also been successful. The quality of the grapes obtained from it is also such that it can be exported.
At present, the experiment is going on and so far this experiment has been successful. This cultivation has been done by Brahma Kumari Sansthan Abroad in about one bigha of land. In this, a grape graft has been prepared and planted on the roots of acacia. Due to which the roots of acacia do the work of drawing water from the ground and above the plant is getting ready for grapes.
How Did You Prepare Viticulture On The Roots of Acacia
For this, a pen was prepared for the roots of the Jaganli plant, such as the upper part of the acacia. After this, a pen of grapevine was prepared. This pen of the vine was planted on the pen of acacia. Due to which the roots of Acacia do the work of pulling water and other elements from the ground because the roots of Acacia go deep enough.
So they draw enough water. The water drawn from these roots reaches the grapevine. That is, the work is done inside the ground and the work of the grapevine is done above. Due to this, the plant opposite to the compatibility of that land also becomes ready comfortably. This method is effective in areas where water is deep or low. Plants like acacia grow easily in such soil. So this experiment has been successful.
This Measure for Temperature Control
Abu-road is a hilly area. Due to being green, it is cold here too. Whereas the grapes have to be protected from the cold. For this, a newspaper is wrapped on its fruit or bulbs are lit. to keep the temperature under control. The special thing is that no chemical fertilizers were used in the preparation of this crop. It has been prepared using only indigenous manure.
However, on the one hand, about one bigha of grapes is being cultivated well in Abu Road, while the officials of the Agriculture Department believe that it is not easy to cultivate it on a large scale in this climate. Rajesh Sharma, Assistant Agriculture Officer of the department said that in Maharashtra, due to the hot climate with humidity, this cultivation happens there, the climate in Rajasthan is hot, but still, it can be grown in the greenhouse.
Market Price Three Hundred Rupees Per Kg
This grape is Nana Purple which is not even found in Nashik. Its market price is up to three hundred rupees per kg. To give a good shape weight to the grape, it is immersed in a solution of water, milk, coconut water, and honey so that it takes the right weight or shape. Completely organic fertilizers have been used in this farming. It is irrigated by drip irrigation for only two hours in four days.
Crop of Nine To Fifteen Lakhs Every Year
There is a small expenditure in the beginning through this experiment on the cultivation of grapes, but later a yield of nine to fifteen lakhs can be taken every year. Initially, it takes money to prepare the garden. In which angle planting, wire, sprinkler irrigation, and grape cutting have to be arranged. After nine months, the vine starts bearing fruits. Every year nine to fifteen lakhs are produced. The annual wage in this is about 50 thousand rupees.
Expert Told well About Viticulture On The Roots of Acacia
This grape cultivation is being done on behalf of us here in about one bigha. So far it has yielded good results. Good farming is being done in less water. Some time ago some experts of grapes also came here. Who said it is of good quality. This experiment has been successful so far. If efforts are made in the future, local farmers can also take advantage of this. -Bharat Bhai, Chief Engineer of the organization
